Rashan Ali is a multimedia sensation who has charted an in-depth career as a sports and entertainment force. A former radio personality in Atlanta, Rashan blossomed in various mediums, including a sideline reporter at Atlanta Hawks and Super Bowl-bound Atlanta Falcons games. Additionally, she has worked on air at NBA-TV, done work for ESPN and ESPN2 and now is with CBS Sports Network.
 
The founder of Sporty Girls, Inc., a nonprofit organization that introduces young girls to alternative sports like swimming, golf and tennis, Rashan penned her first book, Piper Sky’s Pink Popsicle Shoes, which follows the story of a young girl as she shares a lesson of kindness and humility that resonates with children and adults alike. The book’s appeals is far-reaching, as it has elements of sports, adventure and morality.
 
“I wanted my daughters and other children with diverse backgrounds to feel celebrated and to have fictional characters who look like them and that they can relate to,” Rashan said of her book. “Piper embodies the characteristics I am teaching my daughters and my goal is for her to inspire children to be confident and to maintain strong values.”
