Tara M. Stringfellow

Tara M. Stringfellow is the author of the 2022 sensation Memphis. Her debut novel was a blockbuster, elevating to best-sellers lists and capturing awards. She returns to the literary world in 2024 as a poet with the fascinating collection, Magic Enuff, radiant poems that celebrate Black Southern womanhood and the many ways magic lives in the bonds between mothers, daughters, and sisters.

She’s a poet, former attorney, Northwestern University MFA graduate, and a semifinalist for the Fulbright Fellowship who has written for Collective Unrest, Minerva Rising, Jet Fuel Review, Women Arts Quarterly Journal, and Apogee Journal, among other publications. After having lived in Okinawa, Japan, Ghana, Chicago, Cuba, Spain, Italy, and Washington, D.C.
